Y6 SATS Information
Nationally, all children in year 6 sit SATs (Statutory Assessment Tests) in May. The SAT tests, test the children on the KS2 curriculum for:
- Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar
- Reading
- Writing
- Maths
At the start of year 6 we hold a SATs parents meeting, at which teachers share more information about the tests, how we prepare children for them, expectations of the children and how you can help at home. This meeting is are a great opportunity for you to look at some past SAT papers as well as ask any questions you may have about them.
Test timetable
The SAT week timetable runs as follows:
- Monday - Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar
- Tuesday - Reading
- Wednesday - Maths Paper 1 and Paper 2
- Thursday - Maths Paper 3
Holidays during SATs week
We do ask that parent's do no take their children on holiday during SATs week.
